Head south, dealing with one bandit on your way. If you want to explore the mine thoroughly, I would advise you to wait until you finish this quest. Turn to the east and get ready to fight with one rogue bandit.
Now you have to make a choice. There are two ways to get to the main cave, which contains other enemies: by easily opening the eastern gate or by choosing the northern corridor.
You can attack the last group of bandits. The most difficult enemy will be, of course, the Champion of Boetia. Since he is an excellent warrior, it would be good to keep him at a distance during direct combat, or avoid his attacks. You need to destroy all the enemies marked with arrows.
New main goal: to receive and equip Ebony Mail
After the battle, Boethius should talk to you and congratulate you on your victory. She will also tell you to remove the Ebony Mail from the former Champion. Find the dead bandit leader and take him off the body. This is a great heavy armor, thanks to which you can move silently and poison nearby enemies. While you're here, I would also recommend taking all the other ebony items. Even if your character doesn't use heavy armor, they are still valuable items. Listen to what Boethius has to say one last time, and the quest will be over. As I mentioned earlier, you should inspect the mine before leaving it, check all the chests and locked passages.
