Participation guidelines

Guidelines for participation in the Aliante 2010 Competition

1. Two people make up each team for the Aliante Project. However, each school can create any number of teams. If, for any reason, you are unable to create a team from your school, you can invite a friend from another school. All teams must be created following the “Aliante 2010 Competition Rules”. We recommend that you choose a reserve member who will be used in the case that a member of the team needs to be replaced. A reserve member is not, however, compulsory.
2. Each team must have its own e-mail address. If no team member has an email address, please create one.
3. Register your team at www.project-aliante.org, under “Registration” within the relevant national version. After registration, you will be allocated a competition number and a password which will be sent to your e-mail address. In the case of any registration difficulties, please contact the project co-ordinator at: aliante2010@jagello.org.
4. 1^st round competition questions of the Aliante 2010 competition can be found here. Go through the questions (you can print them out) so that you can prepare correct answers.
5. There are 20 multiple choice questions in the first round. Out of four possible answers only one is correct. Mark the one you consider correct.
6. When you are ready to answer the questions, fill in the competition form here and answer all the questions at the same time. You must complete the questions in one session. Technical reasons make it impossible to work on the form over a period of days.
7. The deadline for submitting answers is 21^st March 2010 before 23:59 hours CET. Answers sent after the deadline will be void, but it doesn't matter when you send them before the deadline.
8. Teams that correctly answer at least 15 first round questions qualify for the second round of Aliante 2010.
9. Questions of the 2^nd round will be published on the 22^nd March 2010 at this website. Detailed instructions for participation in the second round can be found under the competition rules.
